If you are affected by your acne it is time for you to gain freedom from your acne.

Types of Acne

Before you can free yourself from the clutches of acne, one thing that you must know is the type of acne that you have, so you can see the treatment options available for your skin type. Most of the time when people think about acne they think of it as one whole skin condition, but actually it’s possibly an isolated skin condition.

Non Inflammatory Acne

White heads- White heads or also known as closed comedones are follicles filled with sebum and slough- off cells. They cannot be seen by the naked eye, they have a microscopic opening to the surface of the skin.

Blackheads- Black heads which are called open comedones are follicles whose openings are larger than usual. They are filled with the same material as whiteheads; sebum and sloughed- off cells.

Inflammatory Acne

Pustule - Pustules are small round lesions with a small collection of pus noticeable on the top layer of skin.

Papule - This is one of the mildest forms of acne. It appears on the top layer of skin a small pink firm bump. They contain a lot of bacteria.

Nodule or Cyst- This type of acne is more painful than the other types. They become inflamed. They occur when the fillings of a comedo spill onto the skin and the immune system responds by producing pus. Nodules or cyst last for a while and they leave scars.

Acne Conglobata- This is the most serious form of acne, luckily it’s rare. This is condition is also characterized of nodules and cysts. The acne usually develops on the buttock area, the chest and arms.
